I stumbled across this and decided I liked it enough to blog it.

Shumacher was an expert German architect who died on 5/11/1947 in a hospital in Hamburg. Little adages like this are still very true even when applied to life in general, rather than just his profession and passion. They crystallize my feelings about the validity of compromise (answer: it's to be avoided).

Here's a boring note, but this link is to the RealAudio feed for BBC Radio 2. The only reason I post it is because 1) I didn't want to have to use a web browser with an embedded RealPlayer plugin to tune in and 2) the link they give you is to a soundbyte that welcomes you to the service but doesn't actually play you the broadcast! Thanks to my cobbling the the link, you can just click 'n' go! Might be useful to someone...
